About Me

I am a rather reluctant contributor to the blogging world. Reluctant because I knew it would take a lot of time (a precious commodity) and I wasn’t sure that what I could share would be a whole lot different from what’s already out there. Yet, here I am – a stay-at-home wife, mom and homeschooler hoping to help others learn to be blessing hunters. I am still an RN, but haven’t practiced in several years in order to be home with the kiddos full-time. I am super thankful that I was able to find a work-at-home opportunity that has replaced that income for our family.

Probably the most influential “title” I bear (as far as what you’ll see here) is born-again Christian. I don’t intend to be preachy, but from time to time I may sound a little passionate. Please know that if something comes across that way, I’m probably personally struggling with it and “preaching” to myself! I have the immense privilege to sit under solid, Biblical preaching week after week and most of my insights come as I study and meditate on what I’ve heard.

My husband and I are making our home simply in the same community in which we were raised. We know that isn’t typical these days and we truly treasure the deep roots we’ve planted here. Whenever I contemplate relocating, I remind myself that we may have gray skies and lots of snow, but it’s an easy trade-off for no alligators, scorpions, wildfires, earthquakes or hurricanes. (Not much of an adventurous gal, if you haven’t gathered that by now.)

So that’s me. I hope to get to know some of you through this new adventure!
